I never considered a job as a professional driver until my uncle came to visit. I knew he had been in the trucking industry for several years but had never talked to him about it. During his visit he convinced me to go on a run with him to see what it was all about. To be honest, I didn't think I'd enjoy it much but I was completely wrong. The trip was great. I couldn't get over the fact that he just got paid for the trip we took. That's what he does for a living - Get paid to travel the country. Of course, there were things about the job that I didn't care for, but overall I've decided that a driver job is a great career. I've since started my own driving career working for a great company.
My husband and I have been on the road for over 3 years. We have always wanted to travel but never had the time or money. Now we have both because we get paid to do just that.
